About Me

The big questions were always on Fred’s mind. When he was a child, he remembers writing out the phrase, “Where are we going?  What are we going to do when we get there?”  He even wrote it on an exposed stud in the pantry, much to the amusement of his parents, who found it many years later when the pantry was dismantled.  He was like, “What?  I always wanted to know”.

This endless curiosity about the unknown only increased as he grew older.  After high school, he attended the Strayer Business College and joined the Naval Air Reserve as an Electrician’s Mate.  Becoming disillusioned by the liberal church of his youth, he joined the “born-again” conservative movement and studied at fundamentalist Christian colleges, with the idea of becoming a pastor.  As he studied the bible, however, he became discouraged by the textual, historical, ethical, psychological, philosophical and scientific problems he was encountering therein.  Within about three years of getting married and joining the Air National Guard as a radar technician, he left the church for quite some time.

Fred never stopped being interested in spiritual things, however, even while pursuing a career in electronics as an instructor and computer technician.  Eventually, he tried church one last time hoping to find some middle-ground but finally realized that the organized church was not the kind of spirituality he could do.  Meanwhile, he returned to the hardwood floor trade, as he had grown up doing floor-work for his father.

About this time, he began to study alternative forms of spirituality, and thought to examine Astrology to see if there was anything to it.  After some reading and study of the natal charts of relatives, his conclusions were a resounding “yes”.  While at Edgar Cayce’s place in Virginia Beach for a seminar, he picked up a copy of Steven Forrest’s book, The Inner Sky.  Fred became so enamored by Steven’s approach to Astrology that he joined Steven’s Apprenticeship Group.  In June of 2018, he received his Level 2 certificate with same.  Currently, Fred is retired but has decided to open his Astrology business since he has been doing natal charts for friends and relatives for some time now and the pleasure of helping people understand themselves using this tool is highly satisfying.
